How's the weather?

At 6:30 his morning in northern North Dakota, the temperate was 15 below zero F (-32C), but the wind has died down to about 5mph; a balmy winter morning compared to the -30 to -40 temps we are sure to see in January and February.

Hey Phil....where is that condo again, that you were mentioning investing in a while back?....and do they have any more up for sale?.........On the other hand, forget the Carolina's..... I think I am going to have to move further south than that to thaw out after 40 years of this!

How are the rest of you doing weather-wise this weekend?

It's cold here in Bakingfield.  The garage/workshop is 50° and I know it got to or a little below the 32° mark last night.  I know, I know....A heat wave for you guys but I was praying for this when it was 105° in there during the warmest of the summer days and now it's too cold to work in comfort. Aye yie yie...Can't win...Tim

Hi Dan,

If you want out of those cold winter, let me suggest the Southern tip of California, sunny almost 335 days a years, and i don't think I have ever seen it snow in California,  ok once about 20 years ago, it was a real fluke, it snowed for about 2 hours, got all over the freeway, and people on the roads, did not know what it was, looked like "stuff all over the road, it was really a trip,  I drove to my place in San Francisco, where the sun was out,at the time, and got out and showed all my neighbors,  "Come and see the snow on my windshield".

My dearest friend moved to the tip of Idaho, 2 years ago, and she tells me it is going to take her another few years to get used to the long winters, and sub zero temps.  I give her a lot of credit, I could not have made a move to that part of the country.

So to answer your question, it was about 67 here, and my son called to say he was sunbathing at a pool in Coronado,  and 80 in the Sun.

We had a real cold spell that just ended, it was 55 in the mornings, haha,  thought you would enjoy that.

Toodles, and stay warm,

Toni

Hiya Dan,

Snow on the ground, blue sky, upper 30s. So nice and warm after last weeks, and week before, storms. Still have about four inches that havent melted on the ground, and the drifts are quite a bit deeper. So pretty to look out my window out into the woods. The bright moon lately has made it look almost daylike out, and everything is stark outline. Pretty romantic. My folks have been enjoying warm weather up in Northern Cal. Me, I wouldn't trade this for california ever. Too many warm days when I'd go outside and get attacked by the smog there. Still read in the news about not being able to leave homes cuz of smog alerts. Yukky.

Ah, poor Phil, are you cold? I know it's rough, when you get older, not much meat left to keep the cold away. Want I should make you a snuggly quilt for those poor old bones? Ron says keeping a hat on helps. Told me to tell you that the hat keeps the cold from escaping up and out the top of your head.....
