You feel like a chimp??  With that haircut..you look like a chimp...lol  kidding bud...

How does an AA communicate with those normal street people? Damned if I know...and thats the truth...

I do know if I started to talk about feelings and emotions with most of them...they would start to look at me with a strange look on their faces....they would likely call 911, when I wasnt looking...and Ide wind up in a padded cell...

However in all honesty..they are human the same as we are...and sometimes...I can still put on masks...and be someone Im not..

In conclusion??

"Just be yourself"  We arent out to impress anyone...

Have a good weekend mate...

Hows the school stuff going...and everything at home going well??

Dont know where you are Cindy..but in Redneck country...Its 4 x 4s...how big the igloos are...and the next door neighbours screaming four letter words..in the middle of the night...

Have a good weekend eh....and watch out for things that go "Bump" in the night..:)

I get the same feeling right now, in nursing school. Thing is, mostly what we talk about is 'shop-talk'. I'm not there to make any real close friends... and if I do, so be it. Fortunately, I have taken the time to make a few wonderful personal friends in the AA Program, and that suits me just fine.

Good luck in your studies!!

Good Morning, Robert,

This always works for me -

"God, grant me the serenity......."

I say it in my head, of course, not out loud.....

Dealing with non AAs gets better.....unless it's family members, then I just stay clear...lol!!!!
