Fills me with outright joy to see Lisa and others doing so well in comparison to things just a short while ago, and Justin just impresses the hell outta me! I just dont get on here and blabber about it, dont find the words for stuff like that. Oh yeah, I'm getting divorced and baptized! I'm taking what for me is the next step in turning my will and life over to the care of God through obedience to Jesus Christ. And turning my paycheck over to the care and will of the lawyer as I understood him.
I had never seen that Denial one, made me laugh, didn't even notice I was lying, haha. Funny cause it seems I was the only one that did notice I was lying about everything. Everyone else sure did. Glad to be on the other side of that one.
It was the honesty more than anything, I believe that finally, after so many years of that DENIAL, that I finally broke free of it. Sure did not know how to do it at first, the truth to myself, was so damn scary.
I also really love the other saying about DeNile....... it Ain't no River in Egypt.
From the AA Big Book, regarding those that are the unfortunate ones that do not appear to be able to get Sober, that last line......"But they can and do, if they have the Capacity to be Honest. Glued that in my head ever time it was read out of How it Works, and the miracle happened for me too.
