checking in, met up with my sponcer, realised how much my partner is wearing me out, seems like a conditional relationship of what we can get rather than give, its all fear related.

I do love her, dont get me wrong, but I believe that things cant make you happy, happiness is a choice and if one chooses to be happy when they get this or when they get that, they will never be happy, I know someone, a wealthy man, said "I will be happy when I get £10M in the bank, no I will be happy when I get £10M and a Lexus" 2 years later he had £10M and was still unhappy. true story..

I dont know where im going with this. LOL::

Yup, Robert, happiness is an inside job for sure. Hard to get others to understand that, tho, so I guess one can only prove by example. Glad you checked in, Chris

"It doesnt matter where we go...We follow"

It used to be so easy for this guy to get so wrapped up in others stuff...that I could get out of myself...and get drained...

I used to think, in my last marriage..that it was my job to keep my partner happy...and try not to rock any boats...While trying to do that.. I fell overboard...and almost drowned...

Never thought that just being myself...might help.:) and a bit more honest comunication wouldnt have hurt either...like "Listening"

As much as we want things to run smooth, in a relationship...all the time..they just dont...thats life...

The valleys go with the hills...

But true love does prevale....

As for money and material things? Nice to have...but doesnt mean shit...

Have a good day mate...

Happiness is a choice, a decision. That's something I need a reminder on, every once in a while. I'd probably choose the word 'content'. Do fairly well, but got weak spots.

You seem like the kind of person that really enjoys DOING a lot of things in life, Robert, rather than Getting... Like your music, your cooking... you enjoy the arts. So much easier to find happiness in the DOING of things like these..  People often say, "Unhappy? Get a HOBBY!!" You already have quite a few...

I hope the best for you and your partner.

How is school going?

Joni
