"If you accept a limiting belief, then it will become a truth for you."
-- Louise Hay
Pick one aspect of your life, e.g. your health, your competence, your prosperity or relationships, and think back to when you were a child. What messages about this subject did you hear from adults at that time that are still playing on your subconscious tape recorder? Messages like: "Men can't be trusted." "Money doesn't grow on trees." "You're not smart enough to succeed in business."
How is your world reflecting your beliefs back to you, today?
"There are no limitations to the self except those you believe in."
-- Seth
I remember my Father being very angry with me about something when I was about 14. He said "why are there boys hanging around, because it sure isn't for your personality". No need to tell anyone what that did to me for the next 30 years. And he doesn't remember it at all, apologized for saying it many years ago even tho he doesn't remember. Now I weigh my words so carefully when I'm in a snit. I wonder what careless words I've used that affected others, like my children. Today, I think before I speak (or type). They can nurture and they can wound, even the smallest of them, if said without thought. I try to remember that when posting, also. In the scheme of things, who am I to use words to judge others?
