one of the most important things in my life is music, and my memory is gone! if anyone plays piano, i have some questions for you if you dont mind, it really aches not knowin what i once used to know, its like a part of me is missing....
well what I wanted to do was say take the A minor pentatonic scale, how would I make a chordprogression out of it, like for instance the good ol blues riff is a "1 4 5"
Oh Robert, I know just what you mean. I have a beautiful Anton Schroeder (sp) violin that I take out and rest under my chin. All I can do are the scales. Cannot read music but for a few notes. I found an excellent teacher and was going to begin all over again, but we moved out here, and there is nobody local. So there it sits. Once, I practiced hours every day. Gave up outside things when I was young to do so. Had such dreams of going to Julliard. But I trust that when the time is right, the chance and the re-remembering will come. I bet school will help to loosen things up again, using your again to learn. Love Wren

yeah im just looking to make chords fit together using theory rather than my ears. but do not know how to do this, for example when you see the Roman numerals as a steady guide for a chord progression...
IE blues I IV V that fits nicely, where else can I get this info where in heinsight it may say a nice progression is I IV V X Y Z......?
I've played for 19 years now, but I'm limited to reading music. I always wanted to learn all of that stuff. Maybe that should be on the musician alcholics' renewed hobbies! Right now, though, my son calls it NOISE. LOL!
