Exercise is really important eh...

Walking can add minutes to your life. This enables you at 85 years old to spend an additional 5 months in a nursing home at $5000 per month.

My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was 60. Now she's 97 years old and we don't know where the hell she is.

The only reason I would take up exercising is so that I could hear heavy breathing again.

I joined a health club last year, spent about 400 bucks. Haven't lost a pound. Apparently you have to go there.

I have to exercise early in the morning before my brain figures out what I'm doing.

I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.

I have flabby thighs, but fortunately my stomach covers them.

The advantage of exercising every day is that you die healthier.

If you are going to try cross-country skiing, start with a small country.

And Have a nice day  :)

Gosh, Phil, thank you! What, last night's joke didn't nail me enough? How'd you know about those flabby thighs?

Actually, I do try walking, not because I expect the miracle of getting back in shape, but because I like to day dream when I walk. I always come back feeling more rested. I did join a gym a few years back, went three times a week to work out, and then they booted me because I was on beta blockers and my pulse exceeded the ratio they allowed on meds. I felt really bad about it.

Now, I'm thinking about a home gym, but not sure where to put it. I'm afraid it'll end up being a very expensive plant holder. What is it about following through????? Wren

Hi Phil,

Looked at that Title to the Post, and inside I said, Oh, Ugh!,  was so happy to see that we share the same opinions, not overweight, but was thinking if I was, it would help plump out all the flab, maybe that would work.

Good Chuckle!,  Thanks

I sure identify with Dan on this one...used to really enjoy the Dairy Queen thing..

Havent been to one in over a year...personal reasons...

36 pants are getting loose....

Do they have A and W fast food drive through in the US?

2 teenburgers for 5 bucks up here....yummy stuff...

Then again....with our dollar exchange....one could likely buy 5 for the price of  2 there..

And home gym wren..? been there....It doesnt work..lol

Shit..I get tired just watching people walk down the street..lol

Later..

Hi Chris,

Home Gym, my God Chris, what are you thinking????  I see them at times on TV, and they just get a big chukle out of me.

Maybe you have had some awakening about getting into the Olympics or something, don't worry though, it must have been just a Fantasy dream, we have those,  I had one last week, where I was visiting my relatives in Italy, and was so frustrated that I could not understand them, nor them, me.  Was so relieved to find out I was not there, just got up and made some coffee.

If you are really thinking about it, call me first, I guarantee you, that I will talk you out of one, haha!

Baloney

PS. Phil, I was just so curious about what you wrote, were you saying the only reason you might exercise is to hear heavy breathing again,  would that be yours, or someone else's?  Fair question, right?  HA HA!

Hey Toni, Thinking????? ME? I'm not thinking about a home gym, I'm feeling feelings about a home gym, LOLOL. I see a home gym on tv, and I feel those abs firming up, my ham muscles getting back to boxing size, and by some miracle find a way to make my second chin disappear. Now, these are all feelings, mind you. When we had the farm, and I was milking 20-30 goats twice a day? I could arm wrestle both the boys down. Now, I have to get Ron to open a jar of peanut butter for me. I'm sure he feels better about me needing his help, Ms. Ego here, let me finish this cement and build this cabinet,LOL. Not that I want to build cabinets again, mind you, but it would be nice to know I could if I wanted to.......and I"ve still got these skinny jeans in my dresser calling out my name..........

Hey Toni and Wren~  I can give you a personal testimonial on how much excercise you can get from a home gym....

Man can I ever break a sweat when I have to move the damned thing around when I'm trying to vaccum!
