Every morning this week I have awakened to the sound of a marching band. It is band camp at the junior highschool a street over from me. I get up to the 'fight fight fight' Notre Dame theme, I believe... maybe Ohio State... LOL
Then I pray, sit down with my coffee checking MIP, my emails.... listen to the crickets and katydids out in the yard throught he window... and there it goes again.... it is getting me moving to the 'beat'... the hokey-ness of the music blaring in my wiondow has been putting me in a rather light mood this week... LOL
I think I will have to hit one of the Jr. high football games this years... get back into my community. For me, that's what sobriety is all about. Enjoying and being a 'part of' my community for once in my life. We moved in here in Feb., and I have met some really nice neighbors. I think I will go re-live my teenage years, hollering at the top of my lungs in the bleachers with my fellow residents. This time, my second teenagedom will be better.
Lucky you, we do not have a school ground anywhere close, so I think I will have to kick-start this day with ABBA, thanks for the reminder that music can stir the senses.
Hugs, Toni, here I go..................................
