Hahahaha... and I'm the PROFESSIONAL SLEEPER nowadays....
Perhaps I am awakened cause I need to do a little extra praying.
A girlfriend in the program, a sister in sobriety (we have the same sponsor), is a newly sober homecare nurse. She has just been diagnosed with MS, and like I said, is newly sober. Can't feel her right leg underneath her. She's pretty scared. Can't drive right now. I am taking her in my car to her morning homecare client. Please pray for her, if you would. I'll just call her "D".
When things like this happen, it makes you look up and question the "whys" in our world, doesn't it? Even when my faith is solid, the whys still come to my lips, even though I know there are some things I'm not meant to know, and some that I do know I just have to release to my Higher Power and try to be the best person I know how to be during the situation. There are times when you just dont want to know "what the lesson is in this" and kharma be damned. You're a good friend, Joni, and I pray for the both of you to have strength and peace thru all of this. Love Wren

Your prayers must have worked, because she did wake up with full feeling in her leg, and no pain. Has an MRI this afternoon.. will find out more at our meeting over at sponsor's tonight. This 'on-again, off-again' numbness is the nature of MS from what I've seen....
The Cleveland Clinic has published a report on Aspartame (Sweet-n-low stuff) in soft drinks building up in the nervous system and creating a series of symptoms, long-term, that are identical to MS. Very interesting and kinda scarey... I love my diet pop... if I can locate the article I will send the link out.
