Hi,

I so appreciate finding a place to share.  I'm 42 and been sober since treatment a year ago.  I really do go to meetings (Honest).  A part of my struggle for the past few months is I become violently ill. Head, stomach, severe aches, blah, blah, blah.  Sometimes getting out of bed is not an option.  It has robbed a great deal of joy from my sobriety.

That being said, I still have my sobriety and I am oh so grateful.  I will be leaving a this little northern town in a few day to move to a city and I do feel a Little (A lot) terrified.  And excited.

I have had really no life here in this town and I'm excited to move to a place to find options, support and hopefully healing.  I am going back to college part time.  I'm praying that living a life I want to live will help with this horrible sickness.  Please excuse if this is TMI.  I am so unfamiliar with internet protocol.

I really do love this site.  I have just recently come through 5 excrciating days of pain, and today I got to watch "Interview with God" and "Father's love letter".  I cried some of my pain and grief away.  It feels so good to feel and share. I want to thank you all for responding.  If I may, I ask for prayers to get healthy so I can live the life of a vibrant 42 year old as opposed to someone hidden away in a world of pain and lonliness.

Thank you all........keep posting.........I love the rapport here and the healthy nature you all talk.  Sincerely, Jo

Hi Jo and welcome!

I have met alot of people in meetings that struggle with illness and pain. Sometimes just being able to talk about it is a relief.

I will put you in my prayers tonight and good luck with the move. It sounds like it could be a great thing! Big city, lots of meetings, lots of sobriety=a good life!!!

Take care.

Jo, congrats on sobriety in spite of the pain.

Praying that your pain will somehow lift, and that you will find what you need in the new place you are moving to.

Looking forward to seeing you hear and getting to know you better.

Sincerely,

Jonibaloni

Hi Jo,

Congratulations on being sober for one year! That is really great. Well done.

I know quite a few folk at my meetings who suffer a lot of pain from one condition or another. Their resolve and determination to stay sober in the face of that always inspires me.

I really do wish you well with your move to the city. Moving can be quite stressful, but I find it exciting too. There's always so much to do with a move and so much to see.

I shall keep you in my prayers, Jo.

Take care,

Carol
