Went to a meeting tonight, first one in about 2 weeks... I expect many people wana bitch at me for not going to more.. but im not on here for that.. im just letting you know my progress.
So as i said.. had drink.. went to the meeting in Marlow (got taxi), which out of the meetings i have attended this is so far my favourite (as iv said before).. I really liked it.. though cant say i was on an emotional high or anything... not at all, far from it!! But enjoyed it none the less.
Also.. Today i am feeling alot better than i was earlier this week.

You're going to meetings, even if sporadically, and I am grateful for that. It's how alot of us began, and it keeps a light in my heart, because going to meetings and sharing with us tells me volumes. We're all here for you, Rob. Got to agree whole-heartedly, we have stopped bitching about the meetings, haven't you noticed, we are just here for you, at your own pace, my friend. I recall clearly when people that knew me best would start nagging about going to meetings, I just ignored them, most Alcoholics are pretty Hard headed, in fact I don't really know too many that are not.
Your time, not our time, back on track, with my own thinking, anyway.
We are always going to be right here, hope you know that.

No not yet.. bloody thing.. i got an old hdd in and it seems to be working so long as i dont dl any windows updates .. then it goes all cock a maimy!.. (not swearing.... some old enlgish saying. lol duno where it came from.. anyway i can say cock cos its a male chicken)
I have new pc bits on order.. .. Infact once setup it should be better than before.. .. Pee'd off that i had to get myself into more debt but gota have my pc!!! And well on the bright side the pc will be better once sorted... *crosses fingers*

Hey Rob; Did you ever get a chance to check out "www.pcpitstop.com" theor forum were quite helpful to me during my first build and they're alot of members in the UK. I recently gave an old computer to a friend and we put the HDD from his even older (window 98) into it as a slave as it had all his docs on it. That Window XP computer didn't like that old HDD at all and was quite buggy, then my friend called and told me his computer lost both of his CDRW and DVDrom drives. I disconnected that old HDD and everything worked fine, we then hooked it back up long enought to transfer his docs onto the newer HDD then we removed the old one entirely. Good luck with your PC and your recovery. Bob.

Yeah iv had exactly the same problems as you just said about, in the past..
No not checked out that site.. though i have posted questions before on another site.. When i get my new pc sorted out i will then put my old Favourites list back on pc and ill tell you about that site too. I might check the one you you just said about. Thing is my mate is really good with computers so i get most my advice from him..

Actualy its funny i often give myself a hard time about stuff, which im now working on and trying to chose when its productive for me to do so and cut out all the times when its not so productive, im doing alot of thought and self talk and self conditioning and i am making headway, mentaly becoming stronger (though it may not have seemed that way last week, it is up and down progress).. Actualy its quite hard for me to explain. I guess in reference to Frueds iceberg theory of the mind im trying to establish my Ego again.

Ok gettin back to my point which is when other people bitch at me or perhaps use 'tough love' it does not work. Though saying that in some ways it has helped because its toughened me up to how i react to what people say or think about me, lol helped but not in the way people intended.
Geese you can tell i only had 2 hours sleep last night. I didnt drink last night so had trouble sleeping, went fishing today in the sun and now its catching up on me..
