Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to say briefly, that for about 2 weeks, I have been thinking of leaving the Board.

And made that decision today, I wish you all well, and hope and Prayer for Sobriety for all of us.

No matter what, we don't drink, no matter what, that's always been my favorite.

Maybe you don't realise how much some of us value your presence on this board. Without your kind & understanding words I may be dead right now.

Some of what you told me, whilst not necessarily leading me to stop drinking, has certainly helped me to keep breathing for another 24 hrs.

The identification and support of one alcoholic to another. There is nothing more powerful in all the world.

Toni. I wish you not to leave, but I know that if leaving this board is the right thing for you to to then you must do it.


Good luck and I hope all works out for you.


You have really helped me in the past and I thank you so much.

This does not surprise me because every time I get to know someone, let them into my inner circle - they leave, move away or die and two of the three have happened.  So I guess what I am trying to say is "What else is new for me".  Like, really, I mean why bother to let anyone in if all they are going to do is leave - what's the point.  My inner most feeling right at this moment is why me, am I really that bad of a person - I don't deserve this.  I must go and prepare for a funeral now.  Just my share at this moment in time.

Toni,


 I am too sad you are leaveing but I also know sometimes you got to do what is best for you.We do love you and we want you to work your recovery for you.It is not always about us .it is a  fact of live sometimes people are in our lives for a season but it is not a fact that everyone leaves or dies.


 I will miss your sound words of advice andyour kindness and it was your big heart that left your email so we could contact you.I love and miss you but I wish you recovery one day at a time how ever that is for you.
