Anyone else watching the word cup?

Well, I don't even remember there being a world cup in 2002, and 1998 is pretty fuzzy-

But I have been quite into it this year, watching a lot of the games. France v Spain was an amazing match, as was argentina v mexico, and england v sweden. I love this sport, especially the fact that they don't stop for commercials every two minutes, and that it requires intelligence. Makes me wish I hadn't quit the team to pursue other "recreational" activities back in school- I think soccer/football will get bigger in the US, more and more of the younger generations are growing up with it-

Hi JB,

I've been following a bit of the world cup, although not as much as I would have liked. I'm planning on watching the England v Portugal game on Saturday.

The only problem I've had with the world cup is all of the adverts for beer that they are now broadcasting!!!

Take care,

Carol

Can't say I have been watching t.v. at all. Just don't do it. I watch a movie every so often but that's about it.

The reason I am posting on this is the fact that I love soccer! Played it all the way up through freshman year. I was never great but I made up for it with a whole lotta effort! I too gave it up for other activities. Wonder if they have a soccer league for guy's in their 30's that smoke a pack a day?

Now, there's an idea?

Hi JB,

My first thought was, "What's the World Cup" then I read your Post and it has to do with
Soccer.

I do not watch contact sports, with people slaming into each other.

But then you asked if anyone was watching the World Cup, You didn't ask for anyone that is not watching the World Cup.

Thought I would edit this Response out and then thought oh, well, just think of it a useless trival Response to your Post QUESTION. Just some Alke that cannot follow simple instructions - - ha ha,

Hope you are really enjoying the Games.

Toni, your recoverying Alke friend.

Hahahaha Justin!!

I played a wee bit at Kent State University, Women's Soccer Club...

I love soccer but smoke too... maybe we could find a co-ed smoker's team, where we 'break to catch our breaths every 5 min.?

Hey Phil; remember Gretzky & Co. lost their 1st Stanley Cup Finals to the Islanders and the next year they started a pretty good run.
