hi all i feel great nomore beating myself up on my relapes after 16 years.i have been reading the bigbook, going to meetings, making coffee,got a sponser. we are working on relating to Bills story its so different this time im blessed to have another chance. thank you so much for caring untill i could .so many things i didnt do the first time around its so much better not being a dry drunk hugs jean
Hi Jean, I'm glad to hear from you again, and that you put the stick down. When I'm beating myself up, I call Toni. Boy, that girl can set a body straight, LOL. I know, going back in, trying to do it right all over again. So worth it though. So very worth it. Please keep posting and sharing, ok? What I had to remember is, AA never gave up on me, I just gave up on me, and don't want to go there again. Wren

Congratulations on 15 days!!! That's really great.
I first went to AA in 2004 and had eight wonderful weeks. Then, I left thinking that I was 'cured'. I have been back for nearly eight months now and I realise that first time around I was a dry drunk.
I was at a meeting last night and I shared that I am now glad that I am an alcoholic. My life is just so very different and I have some wonderful and true friends. I am lucky that AA is there.
