The A.A. way of living is not an easy one, but it's an adventure in living that is better than our old drunken way of living that there's no comparison. Our lives without A.A. would be worth nothing. With A.A. we have a chance to live reasonably good lives. It's worth the battle, no matter how tough the going is from day to day. Isn't it worth the battle?
Indeed it is worth the battle, and it is not ALWAYS a battle. But when we get in an icky-spot, it seems like the battle is constant. The battle has been fought and won for us, through our Higher Power creating this awesome Program of recovery. Just remember to REMEMBER the more pleasant times!!! They'll be back again soon, as long as we stay sober!!!
Yes I totally agree that it is worth the battle. If it wasn't then why are we here? Think of how it would affect others close to us if we were not here? I was really hurt on Mother's Day because my daughter completely forgot about me and has not said a word to me about it. I feel this is one more set back that I have to deal with - no matter how much it hurts. I thought I was almost to the top of this hill then all of a sudden I have slid almost to the bottom and all covered in mud. This to shall pass. Just my share at this moment in time.
