How to compare SaaS discounts: what matters more — the size of the discount or the conditions attached to it?

Ive noticed that a lot of SaaS tools offer nice-looking discounts like 1020% off but sometimes the terms are tricky. For example, you only get the deal if you pay annually or commit to a higher-tier plan. I ran into this when I was considering a marketing automation tool for my eCommerce brand. The price looked great at first, but once I saw the limitations on campaign volume, it didnt feel like a real saving anymore. So now Im trying to figure out: whats more important to check the actual discount percentage or the terms that come with it?

Yeah, I totally get what you mean. Ive learned to look beyond the number itself a big discount doesnt always mean real value if the plan doesnt fit your needs. When I switched to Markopolo, I found it smarter to focus on whats included in the deal, not just the percentage off. Theres actually a good summary of current offers and Markopolo promo codes that helped me compare things clearly. In my case, the discount worked best because it applied to a monthly plan without forcing me into a long contract.

I think its also worth considering how fast these platforms evolve. A lot of SaaS companies update features or pricing every few months, so even a small discount can make sense if it locks in current functionality before major changes roll out. Plus, some platforms quietly raise their base prices after promotional periods, so the real value of a deal might only show up later when you renew or scale your account.
