If drinking doesn't bring you to your knees, sobriety will.

It's the engine that kills you, not the caboose

We suffer from alcohol-ISM, not alcohol-WASM

None of us got here from drinking too much coffee

When we get sober..We have a living problem, not a drinking problem

If you don't want to slip, stay away from slippery places

When you sober up a horse thief, all you have is a sober horse thief

If you think the program is too simple, go out and drink some more. By the time you get back you'll be simple enough for the program.

I guess we just hafta be grateful...eh

We are but a chosen few..that have been given, a second chance at life...

We are sober..one day at a time...where others have passed on..or got lost in the hells of alcoholism..never to return..

I just had a call from a close freind, a buddy..and an employee...Hes spent the day..undergoing further assessment..at a cancer center...

Hes gone through tough chemo treatments..and a tough winter emotionally.....and was optimistic..that everything was going to be ok..

Well..its not...He undergoes surgery tomorrow to have his voice box removed...

We celebrated 3 years of sobriety with him..last night...and the reality of it is..Hele be lucky if he sees another one...

Sad shit..really sad shit...

Life on lifes terms....

I'm sorry to hear this, Phil.  But how wonderful he's had three years sober to remember, and you as a friend. Those are two great gifts.  You're in my prayers, both of you, Chris
