COMMUNICATION CHALLENGE

A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person.

Does anyone know the way to communicate, or how to get communication, from an emotionally unavailable man? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Hi Jeannie,

How have you been???

My response to this is what we keep hearing, We cannot change people, accept them 100% as they are.

Personally do not have any good info on the Communication Challenge, between men and women, but I just wanted to say hello to you. And it is so good to see you Posting these days.

John Grey wrote a book about the differences between the sexes, a couple of years ago, that was on the Best Sellers List for a long time, "Men are from Mars, Woman are from Venus", and I do believe it goes into the question you are asking, in great detail. I know it is in paperback now.

I have always felt if men and woman always really understood the opposite sex, the there would be not as big an attaction. Kind of like the mysterious nature of men, to woman, and to men, the mysterious nature of women, has always been part of the Attraction to the other.

What's that old saying "can't live with um, can't live without um".

Just rambling here, time for night- night, early nite for me, Looking forward to the ZZZZZZZZZZZZ's

A Great Big Hug.

Toni

My Grandma had a saying (which I believe to be true in some cases)

Men are only good for one thing

But

How often do we need our tires rotated?

My grampy had a saying he used to say to my Grammy....all the time..

"Quit spinnin your wheels woman...and yu wont need them rotated..:)

As with regard to a man that emotionally unavailable..

My share on that one is...I was brought up never to show emotion...as a man..and never learned much about the true meaning of love etc...and showing feelings..for a long time...

And on top of that...I never knew how....

It was difficult....because all those emotions and feelings were there...

I was taught ..that showing love..was to give materially...which I learned was the wrong way..also..

There came a time in sobriety that I wanted to learn about showing love and feelings and thoughts..

And when I did learn how...I went to the other extreem...

Took a long time to get a balance there...

Still learning....
