Along with everyone else's, I'm really interested in the recipes for the salads and stuff that Robert make,,, and I hope that some will be in the cookbook. eh, guys? One of my 'hobbies' is trying various recipes from different ethnic groups. What do the English eat? and the Canadians? the California people? the batchelor?
My own recipes are pretty simple - a little bit of this and some of that.

Im not sure i have any special recipes really.. I kinda just chuck together what i feel like at the time. lol.. Im not a very experienced cook.. Usualy too hung over, tired to too busy drinking.
Though everyone thinks im mad, i always have baked beans with my roast dinner. Yorkshire pudding is another big deal with uk roast dinners. Can find that on the net, but follow a uk link rather than usa link cos the ones i looked at for usa were abit inaccurate, well each to their own i guess.
alright, you. I've sent you links n stuff from over here. Now, I want a REAL UK recipe for that Yorkshire pudding, from your approval. I wouldnt know a good from a bad recipe, having never tasted it in my life. My foot is tapping as I await it.....LOL, hugs Wren

Lol iv never made it.. My mum does... and its lovely.. oooohhhh. so lovely.. I will look up the recipe at some point...
What about toad in the hole? .. trying to think of stuff that might just be uk food.. Erm.. Sheperds pie? Im not a great fan of shepards pie or toad in the hole..
Do you guys ever have crumpets? Not really a dinner or a recipe that one.. Something you would toast.. Im sure im gona regret this cos everyones gona want explanations.. lol.. . Too tired tonight to go into details..
Yeah, Robert, chuck a few ideas in. :) ,,, and Chris.
I have had crumpets, some bakeries have them. There are a few different recipes for shepherd's pie.. I like the simple ground beef, potatoes and corn one,, in fact I put it in the kitty for the book. How do you like it? Toad in the hole? What is that? A chip butty? I can't imagine what that might be. I've had rice pudding too,, we do have a variation of that. This is very interesting to me. thanks, keep them coming.
I grew up on corn meal mush,,, and that is not popular now.. but you know,,, the same thing is called 'polenta' now, and it is quite popular, only instead of American Indian and pioneer food, now it is Italian.
love in recovery,
amanda

Toad in the hole is basicaly sausges cooked in yourkshire pudding.. I dont ususaly like it cos of how it crisps up around the sausages but lotgs of people love.. Though saying that i have4nt had in in year.. Lol my mum, bless her used to put sausages loose ontop of my yorkshire cos she knew i didnt like toad in the hole and she called that Frogs On Ponds.. .lol
Chip butty is just chips in bread n butter or a buttered roll basicaly. lol. well i gues it dont have to be butterd.. Now chips translated for usa would be called french fries but if mac donaldsa nd burger king are anythhign to go by, french fries are very thing. Chips are not, they are much fatter.
Corn mush? Just sounds like Porridge to me...
Tonight i did some pasta, heated up some sweet corn and mircowaved a beef in gravy thingy out of the freezer.. Put it all together and it wasnt too bad.. I did way to much pasta but somehow i managed to eat the whole lot. I hope the pasta helps my energy levels, I know its suposed to very good for you.
Lol heres a pic of my salad last night. I put salad cream on it afterwards.. And the other is my dinner tonight.. Notice the too much pasta.. Lol. Yeah i know im kinda wierd taking pics of my food.. lol .. Im just kinda proud of my salad...
Rose, my gf is putting together a "Miracles In Progress Cook Book" and I surely hope you will send her the recipe for both of these salads and give her permission to add your pics of them to them in the book.
