Keep coming back, don't give up-

things that help me:

asking for help staying sober on my knees first thing each morning, and saying thank you at night-

Going to in-person AA meetings just about daily, 2 or 3 a day the first few weeks, getting phone numbers, using them a lot.

Getting a sponsor and going through the steps with him-

Eating well and getting plenty of rest-

Trying to be of help to others-

JB

Rob, you didn't let anyone here down. We've all been there, done that. You know what you need to do--and that you need to do it for yourself, not for anybody here. This is your sobriety, your program, and nobody is here to judge. One of those "let he who is without sin" etc. You just need to concern yourself with yourself. Talking to Alan was a good step, right direction. Just know that we are here for support, not for judging, ok? Keep on keepin' on...hugs, Wren

Hi my friend,

hate to not be original, but Wren said it all, should I cut and paste and repeat?  HaHa.

We have all gone thru what you are going through, o.k.  Nothing new, about it.  Glad you are here, remember yesterday, asked you not to get down on youself, but that just goes with the territory,  I know when I would drink, after 6 days, I remember how it would let people down, but that was my husband telling me how I had let him down, over and over and over, made me feel worse.  But the meetings will help you Rob, the face to face interactions of the meetings are where you can really begin feeling Part of.

Just gald you came back so fast, that alone is a real blessing.  A Giant Hug,

Toni

Hiya Rob.

despite you drinking tonight, you are doing better than what I did, shall I tell you why?

When I went out of A.A drinking, I wanted nothing to do with A.A or its people, its the biggest way to muck up drinking.

I enjoy sharing with you Rob, and I hope you do not feel guilty, because if you are alcoholic like me, you perhaps will not get it first time.

A good book to read is the alcoholics annonymous, it is life saving for me, check out the link I sent on my other forum.

I hope to speak tomorrow mate. Thank you for being honest, and you have not let anyone down the only requirement for A.A membership is a desire to stop drinking, you seem to have a desire, or else why would you be here? if I didnt want to stop drinking Id be in a bar not on a A.A forum, also it is a desire to stop drinking- this implies that we were still drinking when we came in. I am just rambling now! but I hope you do not go anywhere, drinking or not drinking you are welcome,
