I have been to Hospital again today. All is well. I do not need to go under the knife so to speak the oestiopath will be able to fix me, so he says. I am anxious about work, I think I might get the sack for being ill. I know this does happen but they have done it before. I feel no escape from that place. Also they keep calling and saying "you alright" in that chirpy corporate manner. If I was alright I would be at work!!.

Maybe I am a little off program today, Have a 2 litre bottle of Cocacola to gulp so fairly ok.

has anyone else been in this place of fear regarding work? I wouldnt mind but I am not even a pro- im a monkey boy....

Yup...you can only do what yu can do bud...

I can share with yu..that the unknown...can cause a lotta fear..if one lets it..and I guess the biggy re that one is "If One Lets It"

Change..is a big fear word for some of us too.....Scary...

I do know..that the  more we trust in some kind of a Higher Power...the easier it is...

There are situations...that we just hafta surrender to...and that we have no control over..

The Serenity Prayer...One day At A time...and Just For Today..Easy Does It..Keep It Simple...

We can tie ourselves up in knots...worrying over some of it...but it doesnt help matters...

Patience is a real big one too...

Have the best day you can...things usually work out....by just doing the best we can...and looking up...

Lack of work is a big stressor for me right now. I'm relying on family and hitting meetings every night. That is helpful. I don't know when I will ever see my license again and it's tough finding work without a car. Oh well, have faith. Every once in awhile I go back and read that chapter on acceptance (pg 517 or pg 449 depending on which version you have) Have a great sober day.

the one I like is the joke about the new comer telling another aa member that they are having problems with their sexual instincts and fancy all the other members of AA and want to 13 step them, they just can not resist the urge and chat them all up, but he knows he is wrong . What does he do?

He asks for advice and admits his problem. The more experienced aa member says "just read page 69 that will help"

of course the alcoholic mishead him and goes to the big book and instead of reading the advice intended on page 69 he reads page 96.

(you have to look at the big book for it to make sense)
