I replied to your post, but it went into the Twilight Zone.

I'm glad you checked in, and sorry to hear that it is kind of hard times.

Here are some things to check:   Are you eating well? getting B vitamins and protein and all? exercizing? Yoga helps me. When was the last time you had a checkup..  maybe it's time for another one.  About sleeping...  I don't take meds for sleep, but sometimes some Sleepytime tea by Celestial Seasonings helps cuz of the chamomile, and now they have one that has valerian in it, which is the main ingredient in Rob;s Kalms.

About relationships,,  of course they've been affected, and won't straighten out in just one day, or 30. Sometimes counseling helps to sort things out and get them in a new and healthier direction.

Have you begun the 12 Steps yet?

These are questions to think about, and need not answer here in public.

I'm glad you're perservering,, each goes at their own pace, and there are ups and downs.

God bless you,

amanda

Thanks Amanda, my diet has been awful of late, and I`ve been pushing myself running as I`m finding it less time consuming than getting to the gym and I can be around the kids more so I probably need to watch what I`m (not) consuming. One thing I realised a while ago is that the extra 2000 calories in 8 cans of beer must give you some energy! I`ve lost over 14lbs so far. I have a real fear of meds as you call it, probably stems from watching my mum try to shuffle herself off through sleeping pills a few times when I was 7-10, I struggle to take a pain killer. Your right on the relationships angle, I`m just a little self obsessed currently, need to get to know the new me I guess. Overall I`ve had one or two big knocks over the past 10 days and you`ll be glad to know my first thoughts were not "where`s a few quid to get some booze in" That in itself is probably v. good progress. As Phil mentioned it may take a lot of time for the fuzzy feleing to go, but I`ll take your advice and start really improving my diet as from tomorrow. I hope things are good for you with your flat etc. I`ve lost touch a bit with the board over the past week or so..
