Sure can relate to almost all of these - except I was not a table dancer. Here is one that I would like to add. Upon waking up the next day you wonder who the H*** is beside you and your next thought is Oh My God what did I do and who is this and these people in my home?
Just my thought

boy i can relate to this.........my best g.f. and i would go to this eating place that , of course, had a bar....
we would get smashed and go to the bathroom where she ALWAYS put her purse in the sink...i would use that sink and laugh as i watched her stuff float on the top of her purse......
than one night, she had to do #2, and used a lot of t/paper.....i didn't see that she didn't break it off so when we strode out of the john, she had this steam like a wedding train following her
she had pulled up her panties, with the t/paper stuck to her, pulled down her dress, and walked out with me.......god was it funny when i looked and saw her "train".....
we would sit at the piano bar and try to sing and course everyone ELSE was drunk and just "loved our voices"........
than we would go home and on those occasions that i mixed my beer w/wine coolers, i would be "driving the porcelean bus" for hours when we got home...........geeeee just thinking of the hangovers we would wake up with , makes me glad i am here and NOT there.......................hugs/ rosie
That's funny, but it's really not, cause it's so true. well, not for me, I was a home drunk, but I hear stories from people I know, about their weekends and stuff. It sounds funny, until you realize the problems it causes.
The guy I work with was just telling me that last Friday he was out with a friend drinking. He doesn't remember how he got home, found a receipt in his pocket for a bar he doesn't remember going to, a phone # for a girl he almost remembers (he called her to ask if he should apologize for anything, turns out he had already called her and didn't remember). And he's not supposed to be drinking at all. He's in the same program that I am, DUII diversion, education, therapy and NO DRINKING for 2 years. I told him he does that again, I'll call his mother, she's a parole officer! I've worked with him long enough, I kinda feel like a big sister (i'm 37, he's 23, not attracted to him at all), but I haven't told him yet that I'm also going through the same thing. I probably should, I feel lately I should be honest with everyone about what I'm going through right now. Most people I know, I'm pretty sure they have a drinking problem, just from things they've said. I'm feeling like I want to help others, and that will help me too.
I've been writing a book about how alcoholism has affected my life, from my parents, grandparents, myself, my spouse and my kids. Even if it's never published, so far it's been therapeutic, just to get it on paper, not just in my head. I'm also writing a fiction story for kids, my daughter (10) is the main character. I'm having a good time with that one, I'll share a summary when I get it done. I hope to have a series, already have ideas for the next few.
