Hi everyone!

I just felt like sharing a bit of my happiness.

It's raining here again, but yesterday we had a few hours of no rain.  It's always nice to get outside and play.  Did some soccer practice with my 10 year old girl, she just started playing indoor soccer at the boys&girls club.  She's the only girl on her team, but that's okay she's a tomboy anyway.  She had so much fun at her first game yesterday, she didn't even realize that her team lost!  Actually her team was slaughtered 7-1.  It's just for fun, not really competitive.  So we came home and practiced a bit, then we played some basketball.  Certainly wouldn't have been doing any of that if I had been drinking!  When I was drinking all the time I never wanted to leave the house or do anything fun.  It's nice to be able to enjoy the little things in life again.

I think things are going better with the husband too.  I just told him if he couldn't think of anything nice to say, just don't talk to me.  He says he wants me to be happy, so we'll see.  We had a laugh at his expense yesterday and he didn't get mad, usually he gets pretty offended even though he knows I'm only joking with him.  I just couldn't resist: he asked why we didn't save him any cookies and our son told him he didn't need to be eating cookies, and I said because you're a fat bastard.  me and the boy had a good laugh, then reassured daddy that we were just joking.  He's actually in pretty good shape for his age, just has to try harder than he used too, and he is sensitive about his looks.  It was funny to us anyway!

Hope everyone is having a good day!  Think happy thoughts!

Hi Michelle,

Good to hear from you,  sounds like things are getting a lot better, glad to hear it.

And the fact that you are getting some Sunshine and fresh air,  sounds so good,  I lived in Portland in my second year, and I loved that city,  it has a warm feel to it,  loved the meetings I attended there too.

So my best wishes to you, and keep up the hard work that you are going.

Please stay here in touch with us,

your friend, Toni

Hope you will not be discouraged by the stuff on the board, it will all be gone in a day or so, repalced with a lot great stuff.  bye again.

Hi Michelle, rolling round laughing from that post! Great to see that kids still have the honesty to speak without thinking! Also great to hear that your husband can take it!

Best wishes

Chris.

Ah! Yes! I remember those days! The good old days when the ex and I used to call each other names and then laugh till we cried. My favorite one was "saggy tits and fat ass"- now who was who was where the real funny shit came in.........Then one day it wasn't funny anymore and when I got sober I realized it was NEVER funny and what huge resentments is created........makes me sad to think about those days, wish I could take them all back... hope yours ends up better than mine did, Michelle.....
