90 days free of alcohol and other intoxicants- Wow, how a life can change so much so quickly. I was very alone, unemployed, in hospitals, losing my mind and falling apart physically, unable to go a day without drinking or using- when something got me to a meeting.

Some things that I think have helped me so far are: going to many meetings, getting a sponsor, working steps, praying and even meditating, trying to be of service, hanging out with AA people, listening to speaker tapes, exercising a bit and eating well, getting decent sleep- And finding this board was pretty cool too!

Take Care,
Joel

Hoorayyyyyyyyy Joel

The journey only gets better. Congrats on the 90 days. Great you are goiong to a lot of meetings and being involved with the fellowship. I believe that is what started me with a great recovery process. NOt like the old pattern of Isolation and "i can do it myselfitis"

May we meet someday as we trudge the road of happy destiny.

Hi joel,

God bless,  you have been doing all that you can do, and I am very proud of you,  those first ninety days can be rough!  Coming to.  Sounds to me like you are on the right track,  Embracing the Program with all you've got.  That is all we can do,  Getting to meetings, getting that Sponsor, working on Step One, both parts.

Sounds like you are getting some "managability" into your life.  Feels good to know that this is a "We" Program, and you don't have to do it alone.  I am here for you, and so many others are right here for you.

Great, Great Work!!   It Ain't Easy, But it's Simple.

Love, Your sister in Recovery,

Toni,  Please stay right here and let us hear from you.
