There's beer in my fridge.....

But I know it's OK, TODAY.  My last beer was about 11:30 pm Friday night and I had sooo many I'm still recouperating from that.  So, the beer will stay in the fridge un-opended atleast for a few more days. But, soon enough, the hangover will be gone and so will the feelings of guilt, hopelessness and disgust of myself. I banged up the car Friday night, not the first time as I said, but usually run out first thing and get on getting it fixed!! I have a regular paint and body guy, now this is sad, who believes my son is the beginner driver and does the damage to the car!  This is not my first attempt at staying sober, but I certainly hope it's my last. For about 6 months now I've researched alcoholism, I have an AA schedule on my fridge door, and I keep telling myself no more. But this time I'm leaving the dent in the car for a while as a reminder for when the "few more days" gets here - but what will I tell my son when he asks what happened to the car........ There's a meeting tonight just up the street and once again I PLAN to be there. Haven't followed thru with that plan I've made so many times, but I'm praying I WILL tonight. I HAVE to. I want to live and I want to live with peace and contiment in my life and in my heart.........

Hey Old Pro, Please go to the AA meeting tonight . Just take a deep breathe and walk through the door.  Like Wagon said, you'll feel great after the meeting. I'm sure you will leave there with a few phone numbers and call them , they don't give you their number if they don't want you to call.

As for the beer in the fridge, I wouldn't want it there if I was quitting drinking. I don't keep alcohol in the house.After 20 years sober you would think I could, but this is a one day at a time deal, and today could be the day I fall.

You will be in my thoughts today, can't wait to hear about your meeting.

(((Hugs)))
