Thank god every day

I am so grateful to God for the life I have. I am the luckiest person alive. When I think of all of the horrible things that could have been much worse and I know that God kept me safe.

I am also knowledgeable that without God I cannot have this existence. My faith is stronger than ever. I am getting ready for a great summer and being in a show at a professional theatre. My sons and I are getting along great and my house is clean and rejuvenated.

I relapsed once and got back on track, but felt heavy shame. I think it was due to being around alcohol and that 'old' lifestyle. But its about moving on and getting better, not dwelling on failure.

I hope everybody is doing well. and staying sober.

Hey Back, I'm grateful for you and your reminder to be grateful. I thank God for this board and each and every person here.I can look back at things that happened in the past that were meant for bad and they have been used for the good.I am so thankful to be alive, didn't think I would live to see 30 and have made it to 50.What a ride I've been on, and it does get better each day with sobriety, if we work a program of recovery.

Yes, I still do a graditude list, as told by my first sponsor, just don't do it often enough.

Have a great sober weekend.

(((Hugs)))
