I know.........

Job transition thingy is not nearly as hard so far as I had worried it would be. What a sucker I am when it comes to something to freak out about.

LOL

Seriously, it is a character defect that I KNOW does not work, yet I keep finding myself doing it!!! Were entirely ready??? Yes!!!!! But some things take longer to get removed than others I guess....... and just because I WANT these defects removed, doesn't mean God's gonna do it just yet.

confuse Guess I'm still in the WAY!!!!!

For what it's worth, I think fear of the unknown is completely normal! And not so much a character defect.........Happy, happy, happy, things are working out for you.

((((((hugs))))))

Thanks for the update Joni!!  I've been praying and wondering how you were doing.

Fear of the unknown is something, I believe, I will always have.  The good thing about it today is that I have people and a Higher Power to help me walk through it.  Almost everytime I walk through a fear, I can turn around, look, and it wasn't as scary as I thought it was going to be.  That's another "we" of Our Program.

I have a few friends who would not admit they were fearful, if their butts were on fire, so I thank you for being honest.  (((hugs)))

Hey Joni
Been away for a few days...mentally and physically!!!lol Just caught up with the latest posts!!!!
So, would love to respond to all but Id be sitting here for days!!! Welcome all the newcomers and Im glad youre here! Love all that you have shared!!!
Congrats on the new job and what a great blessing!!!! It makes me think: Perhaps in the past we just wanted to do the best job we could, in the background, not bringing attention to ourselves in case we screwed up or were to hung over to want attention brought to us...Now that we are sober, we know and are confident in the jobs we do! People take notice of us because we really are better workers, people, than we ever thought we were!!! No one would ask us to do more than they thought we could do! They noticed you for a reason!!!! Yes, we will get screwed and taken advantage of.....but...it is because we are trustworthy and great at what we do!!! (the trick there is not thinking we are being screwed!!!!) Our lives, jobs will always change...we are up for the challenge IF we let our minds believe we can do it!!!

Im so proud of you and know you will be a great success no matter what!!!

wow, thank you guys for the terrific support, and for celebrating with me not only an "earth" milestone, but a recovery one as well. The things some of you have said about me make me blush, and laugh, and shake my head, and feel really really good about where God has brought me to, and where he is taking me.... one day at a time, without a drink....

(((((((((hugs)))))))))
