KRC, welcome to the board smile
what worked for me was making meetings daily and getting to know people in the program.  I realized that I could get sober by imitating what other sober people did, which was of course working the program.  Don't lose that feeling.

Hiya, Kelly. Welcome to MIP! I wish I was new in sobriety again but that's no excuse to make it so, hey! lol So, I keep moving on to Higher ground even though I know it can be painful, boring, tedious & sober away from a drink. I don't need to drink today. I'm being offered other gifts if I can stay open to them & it's this open~mindedness that gets me through the day some days. I hope you've lots of hope & don't need another bottom. We Can get off at any point & all we have to say is enough. Maybe that's what's different for you this time. Because you've said Enough. Well done. That's a great new beginning if you can keep it in your head that you've said it & don't ever want to go back. Our desire not to drink is one of our greatest defences against that first drink. The rest of it is hard work & dedication to keep our lust for life alive. I wish you the best. Keep coming back & sharing your journey with us. I hope you can make it to some meetings too. Tell us how it's going! Love in recovery, Danielle x

Welcome!
I recently started over again as well. Keep your chin up, and like you said, stay in today. Don't "worry" about it, just stay IN it.

Welcome to the family, and looking forward to getting to know you!!

((((hugs))))

Hi Kayrcee,

Good for you! If it is not your first time just make sure you do something, if not everything, different this time.
