The Best Christmas Present

Hi everyone!  This might be a little long but is a good Christmas wish story.

It started Dec. 7, 2007.  My brother landed on my doorstep.  He just got out of jail and was sentenced to a 2 year Recovery place.  He had to buy his own bus ticket.  So he put it off for days to work for the bus money.  He had the money and was to get on that bus the next morning.  At 2:00pm he said he was gonna walk the beach.  Well I noticed but shrugged off that he took his jacket and it was 80 degrees out!  When it got dark the panic started.  Each hour I got more and more panic stricken!  It was the most horrible of attacks I ever suffered.  And debilitating pain in all of my back.  At 3:00am I called 911.  They said the hospital would not help me as I am a listed drug seeker!  They were kind though, they walked me outside and told me to look at pretty things like the trees.  I saw some wonderful blue christmas lights I stared at them.  The taught me breathing exercises.  They stayed a while.  I felt no better at all.  Finally I ran an extremely hot bath and threw myself in it, FINALLY peace!!!  I stayed in there re-running the hot water for about 2 hours.  4:00am still in tub, brother comes through the door.  He begged me to leave him alone or he would do something crazy.  I left him alone.  Went back to bed.  Panic attacks over, he was safe!!!!  He blew his bus money of course.  I had enough money to buy his ticket, so we were gonna take him to the bus the next morning.  Well I did something stupid.  Got him a girl and she had crack.  Well she teased him and didnt give him crack or sex.  He took it out on me hard.  I said it was a dumb mistake and I was sorry I just wanted to make him happy.  Well he got physical and almost beat me to death.  My husband threw him and his stuff in the car and took him away.  Well that was after I told him he was dead to me and I would never be there for him ever again!  Hubby dropped him off somewhere with $120.00 and told him to do the right thing!!
Well I was so sad.  And guilty.  And scared!!!  Christmas day came and I was sick all day wondering where my poor brother was.  Was he safe, warm, alive even???  My mother called me.  She said my brother called her.  Told her the whole story (which I had told my mother and I told her the truth about the girl and the crack, I dont lie anymore on purpose).  Anyway, my words f'd him up so bad he went to the bus station bought the ticket and went to the program!!!! JOy Joy Joy!  I cried so hard!  What a Christmas Miricle!
I remember coming here and asking you all to pray for him, well whoever you are that prayed,, God bless you!!!!!!
