Here I am! lol Thanks so much for the Surprise Post, Laurie :D I am indeed delighted & thanks to all you who replied & all you who missed me (!) lol I missed you all too very much. I do feel special & surprised! I've been appreciating in lots more new ways just how much can be gained & revealed 1Day@aTime. When I was drinking everything was very much hand to mouth & based on loose footing. Since getting sober & spending time in meetings & minglings with fellow members here & offline I have recently really been getting to notice the rewards & benefits of all this time spent & hardwork invested. It is a slow process but what was initially a buzz of newness in the beginning is turning into something also steadfast & unremovable as I continue to work for it. When I first came to AA I had no idea that I would be developing intimate friendships & understandings with others. I had no idea that I would meet people who would be happy to accept me in their lives for the rest of their sober lives. I had no idea that I was going to become such an intrinsic part to other people's recovery & be loved for my efforts for my own recovery too. I had no idea that I could mean so much to anybody. I'd hoped all my life but I wasn't able to practice being that kind of friend. I didn't have the confidence, the humility, the faith or the self~esteem to feel I even deserved it. You have all been so kind to me here & I am grateful to be able to take that with me into F2F meets & back again. You are such a beautiful fellowship. I'm truly proud of you all. Thanks for being a major part of my recovery. It's really good to be back too. Thanks for the welcome, my very good sober~vibers, Danielle x
