Go Me!!! lol I'm actually really chuffed to have managed this & 1year's sobriety in 2007. Two Big achievements for me. I'm made up lol I stopped smoking on Saturday 1st December too & going strong. I'm so proud of my efforts this year & how me & my life have changed. Thanks for being here & helping me so much everybody! Not bad going on entering my 30s this year. I can chalk all of my 20s upto experience now & let go. Thank God I've been granted another day to be getting on with. I'm hopeful for 2008. Thanks everybody for your hardwork. Life can be so tough at times yet you are here with me battling it out & sharing your ES&H. I'm so proud of you all. Well Done MIP!

Love in recovery & fellowship, Danielle xxx

Hi Danielle,

It's amazing what we can do when we set about things one day at a time, isn't it? Well done on all of your amazing achievements in 2007. And, well done, on stopping smoking, too. That is definitely next on my personal 'hit list'. You're an inspiration to me.

Have a great day.

Take care,

Carol

"We think few, to whom this book will appeal, can stay dry anything like a year." page 34 of Big Book.

So a year is a big deal. It means you probably did more than just stay dry. Congratulations.

On the smoking thing I tried a couple of weeks ago and only lasted 20 hours. So you are one tough chica. I am going to propose to my Dad that he get some quit smoking medicine for Christmas. He will be stoked to help. That freakin Chantix is like $120. Im too broke from smoking to be able to afford $120. Oh the irony.

Hi Spell!
Awsome to hear you are doing so well before even reaching 30. (I am 36 now) My first TRUE attempt at recovery came at 29, and it really was a wonderful time to let AA change my life. As a result, even with my stumbles, it is great to have a host of adult friends including my sponsor, who are dedicated to moving FORWARD and 'growing up' at long last. (Not that any of us need ever totally grow up, imho)

Your enthusiasm is infectious, and it is really helping me to make this a lovely morning, focused on the positives. Thank you for sharing your ES&H.

Joni
