Cool story from The Spirituality of Imperfection....
A former inmate of a Nazi concentration camp was visiting a friend who had shared the ordeal with him. "Have you forgiven the Nazis?" he asked his friend. "Yes." "Well, I haven't. Im still consumed with hated for them." "In that case," said his friend gently, "they still have you in prison."
Love that!!

What truth in that little gem. The correlation to alcoholism can very much be seen holding the consumer prisoner, not to speak of family and friends who may not be aware that their codependencies are also a prison to the disease. In appreciation for the wisdom. Wanda
Thanks Wanda, You helped me see that in a different light than what I interpreted it to be...The story you shared scares me to death! How many times have I been so fooled by alcohol that I too was behind the wheel more times than I can count. Actually, my last drunk found me in that situation! I woke up the next day and was so sick mentally! What was I thinking!? Actually, I wasnt thinking! Thank God I passed out and didnt hear the phone ringing from my daughter needing a ride! Dumb me would have went and got her and her friends. Disgusting now that I think of it again! Thanks for sharing...Lani
