Many of us believed that heeding the words of God or our Higher Power meant following rigid rules, an instruction booklet for life.
Many of us now believe differently. The rigid rules, the endless instructions, the exhortation to perfection, are not the words our Higher Power whispers.
The words of God are often those still, small words we call intuition or instinct, leading and guiding us forward.
We are free to be whom we are, to listen to and trust ourselves. We are free to listen to the gentle, loving words of a Higher Power, words whispered to and through each of us.
Today, help me, God; to let go of shame based rigid rules. I will choose the freedom of loving, listening, and trusting.

I have come to that special place of being able to TRUST myself. Then I have put my TRUST in "GOD" his SOn who I call on as my Higher Power. When I rely on just me and my own insticts I can't always TRUST them, I need HELP! So they are to be met with my ABBA, DADDY, in prayer. Then and only then can I TRUST myself by following his word the guidance of another in prayer that is helping to hold me accountable. A Sponsor, Sister in Christ, Pastor, whom ever I choose or you choose to help with our accountability.
SObriety what a wonderful "GIFT." If you are New and you are just starting out and you think that you can't TRUST anyone or anything. Please "LOOK UP," "LOOK AROUND YOU," CAll on the "ONE TRUE GOD." Ask, seek, and Knock and the door will be opened to you.
When I first came into A.A. 14 years ago a blithering. shaking, evil, ill woman I couldn't TRUST anyone, or anything. It became clear that over these last 14 years in February 2008 that the only one that I can depend on and fully "TRUST" is GOD. He never fails me nor will he ever leave nor forsake me. That goes for all of you too!
Today I am TRUSTED and looked upon differently because of my love, actions, behaviors, peace and honesty that comes from a GIFT given to me from GOd. I haven't done anything without God's help and intervention.
Being a Member of SOCIETY is to learn how to get along with people, to trust myself around them, it's about serving OTHERS instead of myself. It is the Blessing and reward sometimes we don't see here on Earth but we will see in Heaven.
No more FEAR, No More isolation, No more insecurities, No more shame, No more hidden sufferings. "TRUST" I LOVE IT ! Thank you Lord !

But this is a spiritual program....
If your Higher Power has to do with the Bible...? Please keep it to yourself...and I say that with respect...
There are newcommers that come onto this board....and see the words "Jesus Christ"....and religious quotes and sayings...and their first reaction is.."Screw this".....
I understand that there was a post recently that had to do with Religion...that was deleted...
If I was to mention anything at a meeting..concerning religion...??
I'd be bluntly told about it...in no uncertain terms...
