As I had posted earlier, I was upset about a job that i was trying to get, but I didnt drink over it. Instead, I prayed and asked God if it was his will to let me get it. Well, today I found out I wasnt going to get it. At first I was upset, then I remembered what I had asked God. As we all know, he always gives us a answer..it's either yes or no. I picked myself up and started looking. Within a hours time...I got hired at a differant place. best part is, it's Monday-Friday. WEEKENDS OFF !!! YEA Man !! 7 am till 4pm. That will give me time to make more meetings !!! Im only 48 years old , and I retired 3 Days before Katrina came to my house for a visit. (I live 5 miles from New Orleans). I was truly blessed because I got my first retirement check a month after the storm. I worked for the same Co. for 30.5 yrs. (started in High School). Anyway, my point is, being so young, I have a chance to start a new life, keeping in mind that I stay sober. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks clean. Im not writing all this to be bragging, Im just saying what I heard years ago. "Good things happen to Drunks that dont drink". Ron
So happy you are finding peace. And best of all you continue to make progress in sobriety. Congrats on the job. It is truly amazing what God can do when we ask for his help. Your words are inspiring to others. Wanda
Ron it is good to hear that you are happy... you are doing great! You're right it gets hard at times but if you think it through things will look up and be better than ever!
