I finally went to a women's meeting tonight. This was only my 4th meeting that I have gone to in my 96 days of sobriety... It is still hard to go.. but like I tell people "what do you have to lose".... I thought it was about time I went and took the advice!! The meeting itself was good. I enjoyed it although I did not speak. There was 2 ladies that went and spoke and one hasn't drank since Thursday and one hasn't drank since Friday so everyone was speaking to them after the meeting. I obviously did not want to interrupt and talk to people so I figured I would go to the same one next week and talk to people then. It is only a minute (literally) away from my house and I have every Monday off so I figure I would attend that one every week and make it my home group. I will still try other meetings but I will make sure I go every Monday to that one. I feel like maybe I could get a sponsor at the meeting. I asked one woman after the meeting about who I should ask and she passed me to the lady that chaired the meeting and then that lady talked to me for a minute and introduced me to a girl my age... I think everyone was just too busy trying to talk to the other 2 ladies... so hopefully I will be able to talk to someone next week... just wanted to let you all know I finally went to another meeting...
