I have often wondered what you guys all look like. you guys are my friends and I have always had a face to match in the past! I am not asking for a head on a stick like in a indiana jones film! but wondered if we could post pictures on here, or does that goe againts the annonymous bit?

I personally believe that the "Anonymous" part of the program is a matter of allowing the freedom of choice to each individual.  Some are most comfortable remaining anonymous, whereas others, like me, are indifferent about that.

I live in a very small community, and anyone can drive by the community center on the night there is and AA meeting, and see who's car is parked there.  In fact, many times when an AA meeting is scheduled in one part of the building, there may be other group's activities going on in another section at the same time.   Anonimity???...yeah...right!  Besides, when we are on this board, we are already enjoying even more anonimity than is granted in a face to face, because at the AA meeting, I sit right among the group and say "Hi, I'm Dan, and I'm an alcoholic."

So, if anybody can stand gazing at an ugly mug, you can have a look at my diggeridoo/banjo one man band concerto posted a few lines down on this site.

Anonymous isn't very anonymous in my neck of the woods either. Most of us went to school together and/or partied together  or it's a parent of someone I know from somewhere, etc, etc.......I know Phil said Robert could start it, but who knows when I'll have a chance to get back on here, (OMG! work is slammed!) so I'm going first! IF I can get this friggin' thing to work OR did you want a thread just for pics???

With all the computer knowledge that I possess...

I am not very good at attaching things and I went thru my pics that I have on my computer and I can't find any of just me haha... so this is the only one I could find... I was jumping on the trampoline when I was in the Dominican. (use to be a gymnast :) )

Anonymity??  Frankly,  I don't give a damn who knows that I have had a problem with alcohol in my past and that I have beaten it.
O.K.  Here goes...twenty pounds lighter than I was 7 months ago, sober as a stone, and loving life to its fullest.  Tim
