I thought perhaps some of you might be interested in seeing this gem. It is the 54 year Sobriety Medallion presented to Geneva Vessels. Her grandson gave it to us yesterday. I was not priviledged to know this awesome lady but her sobriety date is Jan 10, 1944. Miss Geneva passed away a few years ago but while alive was very active in the speaker tours and in the local AA groups here in Joplin MO.
At the moment we have plans to present the medallion along with a photo of her to the club here in Joplin where she attended meetings.
I am going to try to post the links to the photo's we took from my photobucket album. Wish me luck.
Thank you so very much for sharing that with us. It was so good to see. It's good to know that it has gone to a good home were it will be treated with the respect that it deserves.
Take care,
Carol
