am A criminal its official , I have had fun today trying to sort this out. we have establised  99.9% that I have a criminal record, but it was commited in 2003 by someone who lives in arnold ( i live in long eaton) and he has tattoos on both arms I have none. but he claims he is Robert F Greco DOB 05/03/80 ie me. do you remember me telling you I had some trouble with a lad who smashed some windows in nottm by the name of Luke, this happened in 1997, he used my name and the police (bless them) sent me a court summons in the post I ended up having to go to the crown court to clear my name. ( my name is now clear for that hense I didnt declare it on the CRB form and to my knowledge I had nothing else on there)  well it has happened again I think. I am not 100% sure yet its him but someone in 2003 who is six foot with tattoos committed a crime and said he was me and he lived in arnold nottm, I have only just found out because of the uni CRB check, I am really displeased about this, since 2003 I have had a criminal recrod and I didnt even know,. I have to write to the CRB and dispute this take finger prints (again) and possibly attend court again. not a happy bunny.I have not needed to take a drink,

In the USA this is called 'identity theft' and is a crime in itself.  I would not only defensively clear my name, but I would file charges on whoever did this to discourage him from doing it again. Your anger is natural, and it sounds like you are trying to deal with it in constructive ways.  I'm glad you are not drinking, because we know that would only make things worse.

love in recovery,

amanda

Ah, Robert, I'm sorry you have to deal with this doo doo. Aren't you grateful you don't have to use an alias like he does? What a way to live, eh? hugs, Chris

Hi Robert,

I am so very sorry that this has happened to you. You just don't need it. It must be quite frightening and very disturbing for you.

Try to keep calm and let things take their course. Hang in there.

Take care of yourself,

Carol

The screwier it gets, the funnier it'll be down the road. Speaking of screwy, what's up with this fancy format getup? I selected 'view source' to undo this underline, and it doen't show the tags doing this. Now I really goofed it up.

its funny how society turns its back on you as soon as it deems you a criminal.

yesterday I spoke to several police officers, I went to Long eaton police station who sent me to Nottm who then sent me to the police cells. not one of them actually looked at a computer, they just were not interested. I am so frustrated, I almost feel like commiting a crime as I feel like a criminal. I have never seen such a lack of understanding by the very people who I pay to protect me. Is this the way the country runs now to scapegoat and individual this level of social exclusion is unacceptable, thing is im too tired to fight anylonger.

my insane head says ---- em, i will pick up a drink or ---- em I will jump off a bridge, but would they care?

People are people. If you just got lucky and ran into a couple of unhelpful nuckleheads or if it's institutional apathy, who knows. But I can tell you, if you drank, you'd get drunk. And if you jumped off a bridge, at the least, you'd have a headache and hospital bills. And in the end they would still be nuckleheads and you'd still have this crap to sort out while trying to manage drunkeness and a headache. And if you commited a crime, you'd end up with plenty of time to sit and learn maybe why they are knuckheads, having to deal with dummies like you doing stupid stuff.  Do the math,  be restored to sanity, (heheh), and call us in the morning. Yeah, and you also gotta try and see how this is going to be good for you.

Hi Robert,

That's a tough situation, but drinking will only make it worse.  You could come up with some real charges.  I bet the police would pay attention then.  Hang in there and get your name cleared. A lawyer could probably help.  I hope it all gets straightened out.  I'm sure it will.
