I tried for years and years to change myself. I would always wear a 'mask' and not let anybody close to the real me. But, because of AA and our wonderful program I am starting to discover the real me and that it is OK to be me. It's OK for me to have faults and failings. But, it's taken me a very long time to get here. At last, I can have some serenity being me.
Thanks for the posting,
Carol

me too. I can't even change me. I have to do Step 7 and ask God to do it, and I let him, cooperating. I think the hardest person for me to accept is 'me'.
