Depression is merely anger without enthusiasm.

Ha! After all the reminders of your eighty degree weather while I sat here with no power, going snow blind? No sympathy here. In fact, think I'll do a snow dance tonight, only my fans will be blowing northeast. Gosh, and it was so sunny here today...............................

Funny thing about depression and anger.  I had a few, brief brushes with the dark beast today, (while shopping no less!) and I found myself feeling PO'ed about little things.  Like being angry with the store I was in for their "insane, stupid, illogical" (rant, rant) way of putting stuff that I thought should be in the sporting goods section in housewares instead.

Funny how a person can let themselves get upset about the silliest of things if they let their mood take them.

As soon as I thought of that, I was able to chuckle about it, and the clouds lifted over the rest of my day.  Even the fact that it was 4 below zero F (about -20 C) and the wind was whipping over the frozen Dakota prairie at about 20 mph making the wind chill about -20 F (-30 C), was small stuff.

After 40+ years of North Dakota winters, guys like me start to develop a profile that looks like ice sculpture chiselled by the wind.  (In fact, I have titled my new avatar "Windblown").
