hi again and thankyou for the warm welcomes,i feel surrounded by friends as i knew i would.Today i also feel surrounded by god and i know and feel that he loves me,really i feel he has always been in my life apart from a few years when i and alcohol decided to terminate the relationship!.i dont feel alone anymore. The fellowship and the steps suggested i re-kindle the relationship and since then the compultion to drink has left me.The fellowship of AA has always been there for me when i decided that maybe, just maybe they had a program for living that i could try.To be honest at this point i had run out of reasons not too and was ready(at last)to hold my hands up.i had nothing left in every respect. The mild mannered hard working family man had gone full circle, through jail, hospitals and numerous salvation army clinics.I was found by four monks living behind a casino in the uk they took me in and nursed me back to health and suggested treatment and AA.I was six years sober last week so i guess you were right all along!!!!!.Boy my life is different today thanks to this simple program,to god and my sponsor,to meetings and service and to YOU all.

Hi shaun,

Well Thank you for that wonderful story of how AA came to be in your life.  The part about those Four Monks was very touching.

So happy you found us here,  and just wanted to say a big WELCOME, and look  so forward to getting to know you.

Toni

Hi Shaun,

Thank you so very much for sharing with us. I love hearing how AA has turned somebody's life around. In my short period of sobriety my life is changing beyond belief.

Congratulations on six years sober last week! You are an inspiration to me. Thank you for that.

Take care,

Carol
