I never thought Id say this, but there is not a single thing that drink can give me today, it always told me what it could give me, and it was sort of right for a certain time, but what it didnt tell me is what it takes away, ie everything, including what it just gave you...


I am alot happier sober and that sounds sort of not really here or there, but I am just calm and not too worried about life anymore..


promises hey! they always come if we work for them (after step 9)


think im gonna walk that pooch.

BTW anyone know how I can get involved in some extra service manning the help lines?

I recently wrote a poem kind of dealing with this thought...

You Stole

you stole my heart
you stole my soul
you stole my friends
you stole my family

I beat myself up everyday
when I think of the things
you stole from me
which I so freely gave

you stole my house
you stole my job
you stole my car
you stole my clothes

stole… not really correct
I freely gave it to you
I knew it was suicide
but I still gave blind trust

you stole my money
you stole my heritage
you stole my memories
you stole my life

I wish you were never my friend
I wish we never met
yet I owe you my life
“No thanks, I don’t need a beer”

Hi Phil,

When I first got sober, all I wanted to do (besides get my life back in order) was to have a "boring" life. No more dramas! And for the most part - I did. But then something happened along the way. My boredom lead me down a path of many different projects which I truly enjoy - but yet I'm still bored. I couldn't ask for anything more! I love it, but at times, some things get neglected. Like stopping by this site and saying "hi."

I hope you stop by my site and see what all I've been up to...
