My Pink Cloud Days!

Hi everyone,

I've been having a great few days recently. My boyfriend and I have finished setting up my new computer and it works just great; we had lunch out yesterday in a wonderful restaurant that specialises in fresh sea food, overlooking a marina; we are planning on going away for a few days early next week; I have just spent time with a neighbour this morning and she is having my old laptop and I'm working on setting it up for her with all of the software that she will need; I'm thinking of starting studying and taking up a new career.

I am suddenly amazed at all that life is opening up to me and of how many possibilities are suddenly facing me. It feels really great. I can't quite believe that life can be this good in return for not picking up a drink one day at a time. How good can it get?

I am so truly lucky to have found AA and to be discovering the true joy of living sober. I will never be able to express my gratitude to AA adequately.

I just had to share that with you. Thanks for listening.

Take care and have a great and sober day.

Carol

Great share, Q!!!

I LOVVVVEEE your gratitude this morning, and it is exactly what this alcoholic needed upon waking up and preparing for a busy day. I woke up thinking about all the 'crap' I had to do today, get my car e-checked (environmental emissions test), license plates renewed... HATE standing in line at the license bureau!!  And a liost of other things...

BUT.... upon reading your grateful post, I am actually so fortunate as an alcoholic to HAVE a driver's license, a good car, and the ways and means to JOYFULLY get things done today. Also looking SO forward to school next week and keeping the mind occupied in a very healthy and fruitful way. I think you should go for it, Carol, if you want to pursue an educational goal. We got sober to have a life, and I intend to do so!!!

Love you, and thanks for bringing my attitude around this morning!!!

Joni
