Just wanted to say hello to everyone. And share my quiet Joy of this Birthday with you.
Feel so much quiet, humble gratitude to God this morning. A Loving God in my Live and this 12 Step Program, they do work, when we work them.
Did go back for a brief visit, to the memory of that incomprehensible demoralization of the years before I came in from the Cold, where the disease of Alcoholism had me down for the Count.
The Amazing Grace of God, no other words describe the Program better today.
Have the most wonderful day that is possible. You deserve it so very much. Thank you for being such a fantastic inspiration to me. Thank you, too, for reminding me that this program really does work one day at a time.
Have a truly super day.
With love,
Carol

Just think.. 17 years more will be 34 years! That means your only half way to 34 years of sobriety, and us alcoholics dont do things halfway. We go all the way! (like Don Quixote sometimes.) Can you beat that logic? I used up 5 days worth of wit coming up with that to wish you a happy sobriety birthday. That means for the next 5 days I'm going to be a dull, witless, jackass. It's allready kicking in. I'm going to bed.
I was gone most of yesterday, and just wanted to say thank you all for you Responses. and Joni, Wow, that is the Biggest Chip I have ever seen, think I will have to cut and paste, and put on my Wall, oh, yeah, humble, oops.
and Tim, no, 17 years does not mean that I have been Sober for over half my life, BUT it does mean I have been Sober LONGER than the years of being drunk, thanks to a Loving, forgiving God, and to this 12 Step Program.
And Ryan, I think we need to give you some Comedic award or something, you are living Proof, that Sobriety does not ever ever have to be a dull thing, laughed my butt off over your analogy. Hopefully someday I will see you in a Stand up Comedy skit on TV, and I will be one of you Biggest Fans. I go to every Response you ever make, because I know I will be laughing and smiling, while I am reading, what an incredible wit you have. Gotta give credit, where credit is due.
And Thanks Carol, you just keep adding all those gifts to this board, and so grateful for them all. You are so loved here, dearie.
ok, front and center, back to one little day at a time. Amen.
