Feeling better today, its no coincidence why, yesterday I spoke to a fellow A.A and he called from a differenct country! this is good stuff! you didnt get that in the pub!

I went to a meeting last night and it was really spiritual and i enjoyed it, I am glad I went to that one as my friend in A.A took me there, and when he went home, he had a crisis and was not able to get to his sponcer, I was able to be there for him, and put him up for the night, funny huh, I seem to have forgotten my problems of yesterday.

Hi Robert,

I'm so truly glad that today is a better day for you.

I've found a whole new slant on the word friendship from AA. I do have so many good people that I can talk to and I would always be there for them, too.

You always come across as a really good guy and it has cheered me up so much to read that things are going well for. Keep it up - you deserve it!

Have a GREAT weekend.

Carol

That is really great news to hear from you Robert.  I've watched you postings over the last couple of weeks and it appears you've been having quite a rough time.  I'm happy you've had a reprieve from the misery.  I guess it really is all in the giving to others that gives to us in return.  As Phil's postings say; "...That's what it's all about."  Good fortune to you...Tim

Hi Robert, isn't it wonderful how our problems disappear when we help someone else? The lovingness(is that a word?) found in this program is truly awesome. And it is so funny, the more we give, the more we receive back at us. Just too cool!

I will be house sitting the next few weeks for a friend and her pup, so I will have three dogs to take care of instead of my usual two, don't have three hands, so not sure how that will work, but I am soooooooooo excited as I will only be about 7 miles from AA meetings instead of 42 miles. So am soooooo looking forward to meeting new people and sharing AA. How cool is that?

We have all had our down times, I can remember counting my blessings everyday, reading the big book, doing my foot work, but darn, just didn't FEEL blessed. Had to keep plugging away, and it took a long time. My son was a big help, I was telling him, finally, you know us people who have a hard time sharing these things, and he said he was in the same space, so we talked about it for awhile, didn't solve it, but it took away the heavieness of it. That is when I started feeling more blessed, and could actually get back to being the "me" I wanted to be. It is so easy to isolate for me, and sooooo unhealthy for me. I try now to reach out everyday.

You have been in my prayers, keep on keeping on and I am glad you are sharing with us.

Peace be with you, Wanda
