I'm a little skeered right now.  On Tuesday, I'm chairing my soon-to-be-ex homegroup (b/c I'm moving.)  I had an old discussion group that I chaired a lot before, but this meeting is a lot bigger.

I don't have "stage fright" by any means.  I like public speaking!  However, if I have to say anything remotely personal to a group, then I get nervous.  I have to introduce my leads this month and comment afterward.  I don't like commenting, unless I feel I have something to contribute.

Why am I getting all twitter-pated for no reason?  Just felt like rambling.  Should I picture the audience in their underwear or something?  I am sooo not used to having stage fright.  What gives?

Hi Heather,

I recently chaired one of my meetings for the month of July. I was so very nervous as it was my first time chairing. But, I organised my speakers and made sure that they had a lot more sobriety than I have. At the start of the first evening I was petrified, but after a few minutes I started to really love it.

I'm not overly-confident at public speaking, but that experience has given me a super boost. If I was nervous, I just told everyone and then did my best.

But, I know that you'll be fine.

Take care and let us know how it goes, won't you?

Carol
