Just got a letter from the Sec. of State's Office. They removed a financial hold totalling $3,982.46. Alrighty then!
Let's see, now I only have to pay another $2,064 to clear up my financial responsibilities. Anyone know a loan shark I can borrow some money from? Just kidding!
The money is really no big deal to me right now. The big deal is getting an alochol eval. and going through all the outpatient drug/alcohol counseling. I'll probably have some good stories for you guys/gals when that starts! This is what they call jumping through hoops! I think I have a ton of hoops to look forwards to.
You may ask yourself " What does this have to do with Alcoholism and recovery?"
I guess it goes somewhere along with clearing up the wreckage and financial amends!
The way I look at it, if I stay sober good things will come and this alchy will once again drive! Maybe not in this decade, but who knows?
You know, if I lined up the reflections of 10 or so folks with multiple years of sobriety and found one sentiment in common, at least 9 of them put it like this- I could never have imagined being were I am today. I tell you truthfully, i'm not even wearing my bullcrap hat right now, I could'nt have planned things to go in a more decent manner just 6 months ago. Not talking about fun, but i mean things going for the best to all concerned. Even catch glimpses of that satisfaction I hear talk about.
