Does anyone here take (or has anyone taken) Campral? My doc has me on it. It makes me feel weak and listless for about 30 minutes, but other than that, I think that it works to help the cravings for alcohol.
I have tried it, didnt work for me but I guess I wasnt ready to get sober then. But it may work for you if you are working the programme along side. Good luck. Trudi.

I might add that many times in the manufacturer's info, it states that the med. is to be used with an alcohol treatment program and support group... so don't forget about us!! When newly sober, I was on a combination of medications for mood disorder.. I was likewise told that I needed my support group and program along with medication.
While this med, like many others, might help people 'level out' a bit...??? in my opinion only, nothing can take the place of getting to the root causes of our alcohol abuse, growing toward a spiritual experience, making amends and changing our reactions to everyday events. For me,
"The person I was will continue to take a drink. The person I am becoming will not."
