Over and done! I just got home about an hour ago. Went up to my room and kind of quieted my mind for an hour like the book says and asked God to help me with the willingness to turn some stuff over which I'm not entirely ready for.

I'm not sure if I posted on here about my pre-5th step thoughts. I was planning on not talking about a couple of that really scary stuff. Turns out my sponsor shared some things with me which allowed me to have the courage to share what I've been through. Wow, what a release.

It still hasn't hit me entirely yet, but I am so glad to have actually done a thorough 5th step!

A new freedom!

Fears will fall away from us!

I've come to realize that the whole reason in doing the steps is to bring me into an understanding and dependence upon God.

I don't want to drive the car anymore. Seems like it always crashes. Think I'm going to kick back and enjoy the ride for a lil while.

One last thing and I'll shut up!

I never thought that I could bare my soul and come out of the situation a better person. Never would I have thunk it! I just want to say thankyou to everyone on here because you are all part of my recovery.

God bless.

Hi Justin,

Well done!!! It really is a great feeling, isn't it? When I did my step 5, it took a little while for it to really sink in. But, oh boy, I felt great afterwards.

Take care and have a really great day - you've certainly earned it,

Carol

It is, indeed, a great relief to rid yourself of ALL THAT GARBAGE!  Way to go, dude!
